As many fans can recall, Steve announced earlier this year that he was pulling back from his duties at General Hospital to spend more time with his wife, Michelle Lundstrom, and their family at home.

And while the actor did state that he would be coming back some time during the summer, he didn’t specify as to when he would be coming back at all.

This has made a lot of fans wonder if Steve is holding out in the hopes that he can negotiate his contract for better pay or if something else might be going on behind the scenes.

For Steve Burton, this certainly makes sense. After all, he’s been spending a lot of his time away from General Hospital trying to build his lifestyle and healthy living business alongside his wife, Michelle Lundstrom.

And clearly if there’s anything that Steve is worried about the most, it’s his family.

He wants to be the best provider he can be, which certainly makes sense and might be the reason why he’s supposedly trying to negotiate a better contract with the producers of General Hospital.
