How Will King Charles’ Big Invictus Games Decision Affect Prince Harry?

According to sources, Prince Harry was one happy lark when he extended an invitation to his father, King Charles, ahead of the 2027 Invictus Games taking place in Birmingham.

In fact, per reports, his wishes are for his father to take up an important role in the Games, second only to his. But the thing is that this future may not necessarily become a reality. After all, Charles had conveniently dodged the service arranged for the 10th anniversary of Invictus Games in 2025.

Royal Expert Says It’s “Unlikely” King Charles Will Spare Time For Prince Harry’s Invictus Games

The atmosphere at the 2027 Birmingham Invictus Games will reportedly depend on how fast the frosty relations Harry shares with his family can thaw.

So far, things seem to have come to a standstill, especially since Harry went from meeting his father last September to declaring that he didn’t regret a single thing in ‘Spare.’

However, we’ve heard reports that Harry had enlisted the help of a third party to act as a go-between in talks with brother Prince William. These claims were made by Omid Scobie, who further shared that William is completely turned against the idea of reconciling.

With things the way they currently are, royal expert Matt Wilkinson thought it right to advise Harry not to raise his hopes too high.

Speaking on A Right Royal Podcast, he said, “I think Invictus is a big event for Harry… I think there was only one decision. It was going to Birmingham, and Harry wanted to bring his whole family down here. He wants to sit there with the royal family, in the stands, but that’s very optimistic.”

Wilkinson doesn’t see any circumstance where the King attends the events, if he were to predict the future. “Who knows what could happen next week? If you want an answer on that, looking at my crystal ball, I don’t think the King will go to Invictus next summer,” he said.

Prince Harry will return to the UK this July to kick off the one-year countdown of the 2027 Birmingham Invictus Games.
