In 2024, Hallmark Channel revealed a collaboration with the NFL and released Holiday Touchdown: A Chief’s Love Story on their streaming app.
Julie Sherman Wolfe was the genius behind the movie script, and was tasked with creating a movie that would appeal to romance fans and football fans.
Not an easy feat, but Wolfe nailed it! In fact, Holiday Touchdown (starring Hunter King and Tyler Hynes) quickly became the most popular 2024 Hallmark Christmas movie of the year.
While promoting the movie at the Television Critic Awards, Wolfe confessed that she based the character on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for two reasons.
It was the year that the Chiefs won the Superbowl, and the internet was obsessed with the new couple and their romance.
It turned out to be a good choice, because Holiday Touchdown broke Hallmark’s streaming records in 2024 and even received TV awards and nominations.
The new holiday movie collaboration with the NFL turned out to be such a success that the network ordered two spinoffs!

The holidays have come and gone, but you can still watch the Taylor and Travis Kelce movie on Hallmark+.
In fact, all three of the NFL Christmas movies can be streamed on Hallmark or Frndly. Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story premiered in 2025 and Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story is set premiere Christmas 2026.
