HGTV Star Sherry Holmes Scores Her Own Show

Holmes On Homes star Sherry Holmes just scored her first spinoff on HGTV.  The DIY fan fave recently returned to TV with her family after nearly a decade, and now she is branching out on her own series.

  The good news is, Holmes’ new gig doesn’t seem to be affecting her other series Building A Legacy.  Keep reading for all of the details!

Sherry Holmes On HGTV

Sherry Holmes made her TV debut back in 2003 on the Canadian series “Holmes On Homes.”

Sherry helped her father Mike Holmes and brother Michael fix shoddy homes that contractors had botched.  The show aired on several networks for five seasons, including HGTV and Discovery channel in the states.

The Holmes family went off the air in 2008, but continued their work as contractors over the years.  Sherry Holmes also became well known on social media for her DIY and home repair videos.

In 2024, Sherry and her father returned to television with a spinoff on HGTV called “Building a Legacy.”  The Season 2 finale just aired in June 2026.

HGTV Star Announces New Series

This week Sherry took to social media and shared an exciting announcement with her followers.

Apparently, the Building A Legacy star just finished filming her first solo project without her dad and brother!

Holmes wrote on Instagram, “Starting September 8, I’m taking you behind the scenes to explore 6 exciting, in-demand skilled trades in Trade Up with Sherry Holmes, in partnership with Skills Canada!”

According to the TV star’s post, the new series will premiere in a few days and will air on her social media accounts.  Sherry added, “📺 New episodes every Tuesday & Thursday starting September 8.  Watch on @thesherryholmesDIYchannel.”
