Good Morning America: Lindsay Clancy’s Lawyer Asks Donald Trump To Pardon Killer Mom

The internet is still reeling from Lindsay Clancy’s acquittal last week.  Clancy’s trial created quite a bit of controversy after she was charged with murdering her three children, and a mistrial was declared.

Since the murder trial began, Clancy’s lawyer Kevin Reddington has argued that she shouldn’t be held responsible because she was affected by post-partum psychosis.

The world seems to be divided when it comes to the case.  Some argue that mental health should be considered when deciding her punishment.  But, where do we draw the line?

On Tuesday September 8, Lindsay Clancy’s attorney appeared on Good Morning America to discuss the mistrial.  Kevin Reddington shocked viewers at home when he publicly asked President Donald Trump to pardon the killer mom.

The abrasive attorney announced, “Mr. President, I would hope that you would consider this young lady – the type of person she is and what she’s been through – and consider a pardon.”

While on Good Morning America, Reddington explained that he thinks Clancy deserves to be pardoned because she reached out for help several times and kept going to see medical experts.

Lindsay’s attorney went on to say, “These people don’t understand what she went through. They didn’t see her text messages, her journal, the letter she sent her mother in October, ‘I’m sick, something is wrong.  She reached out to everybody who would listen to her and said, ‘I am not well,’ and was ignored.”

President Trump is familiar with Lindsay’s case and actually spoke on it a few weeks ago.  Ironically, he reassured the press that Clancy was “probably going to go to a mental institution or jail or something.”  But, it’s impossible to predict what Trump will do.
