GH Steve Burton’s Ex-Wife Sheree Gustin Fires Back

General Hospital actor Steve Burton is back in the tabloids this week after his ex-wife filed new papers in court against him.

The Jason Morgan portrayer and his ex Sheree Gustin’s messy divorce and custody battle has been well-documented in the press over the past few years.

It came to light the former couple were arguing over their daughter Brooklyn’s (now 12 years old) custody arrangements this summer.

General Hospital fans rallied behind Steve Burton when he filed papers in June and claimed Sheree was blocking access to their daughter, despite their custody agreement.

In Steve’s court papers that he filed in June, he said his ex-wife “often puts up unnecessary obstacles that don’t allow him to exercise his court-ordered custody and that she has repeatedly refused to allow his wife, Michelle Lundstrom, to pick up their daughter, Brooklyn, on his behalf.”

Sheree Gustin Says Steve Moved Away From His Daughter

Well, there’s two sides to every story and Sheree Gustin is making sure that her side is heard.

In fact, Brooklyn’s mom says that Steve is the problem and he doesn’t see her because he keeps moving across the country and leaving her behind.

According to a new report from US Weekly, “Sheree alleged in the August filing that the actor’s relocation was the second time he moved cross country without Brooklyn, explaining that she signed a “stipulation” she thought was in her daughter’s “best interest.”

In Gustin’s court docs, she also went on to say that she has always been her daughter’s “stabile parent” and Brooklyn’s father doesn’t have a legitimate home for his daughter to stay in on the West Coast.

It looks like things between the exes are going from bad to worse and there’s a messy court battle in the near future.
