General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) may have taken on the role of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)!
Did she sneak something into Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) IV the day she was at the hospital, to give him a heart attack?
5 Key Takeaways
- Sidwell suffers another medical crisis
- Willow has reason to fear his confession
- Her nursing background raises new questions
- Cyrus’ digitalis crimes provide an eerie parallel
- Sidwell may know too much about Willow
No One Would Think To Check For Digitalis With Cyrus Out Of The Picture
No one would think to check for digitalis with Cyrus out of the picture, GH fans and the WSB know Cyrus is dead, but everyone else thinks he just disappeared-even his brother, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight)!
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) quite noticeably has a guard by his hospital room, but there may not be one at Sidwell’s, since there’s little chance of escape.
The guards are there to prevent an escape, but not there to protect the inmates from harm within General Hospital, after all!
Willow had cause to be in the hospital since the inmates were brought in; and no one would be surprised if she wanted to make sure Sidwell didn’t throw her under the bus.
Digitalis injected into an IV is undetectable in the body after a certain time, that’s why it took so long to solve Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) murder.
Willow Has Nurse’s Training And May Still Have Access To The Hospital Pharmacy
Willow has nurse’s training and she may still have access to the hospital pharmacy-and if not digitalis, she may have used something else untraceable.
So far Sidwell is still alive, because Lulu Spencer (Alexis Havins Bruening) interviews him for a story, but Willow was long gone by that time. But it’s possible that she didn’t inject enough of the substance to cause death, since especially if it’s digitalis she may not be as familiar with it.
In spite of it causing Sam’s and several others’ deaths, with one patient saved, once Cyrus disappeared there’s no protocol to automatically check for it with heart attack patients.
Willow Couldn’t Risk Sidwell Confessing That She Drugged Drew, Even Though Drew Could Implicate Her As Well
Willow knows that Drew could implicate her in drugging him as well, and he’s holding that over her-but Sidwell could implicate her as well, feeling he has nothing to lose!
It’s unsure if Sidwell will survive his terrible injuries followed by a heart attack, so giving herself a little insurance is probably what Willow had in mind.
She’d have the perfect cover, although it would be difficult to prove Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) would be culpable for anything beyond the beating.
If Sidwell dies, then Sonny’s charges will be murder-and again, Willow gets away with murder this time, instead of only attempted murder as with Drew-twice! If not, then she’s got some additional dosing to do where Sidwell’s concerned.
