General Hospital spoilers and updates indicate that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is on the verge of being uncovered for her misdeeds very soon.
Meanwhile, Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is about to find himself in serious trouble at the PCPD even sooner-could this disgraced pair be leaving Port Charles together?
Dante And Turner Will Discuss The “Evidence” Against Michael Corinthos
Next week, we will resume with Commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and DA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) discovering what Chase has done.
However, the twist is that they are not fully aware of his actions and are mistakenly blaming the wrong person.
While he may not have acted perfectly, he certainly didn’t do anything egregiously wrong; unfortunately, he will bear the brunt of the consequences.
Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) informed Dante and the DA that he has a witness who saw Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) with Chase’s keys in his possession. We anticipated that Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) would eventually reveal the truth.
You Can Always Count On The Kids To Expose Guilty Adults
You can always rely on GH kids to expose guilty adults. You all know that Chase took Michael Corinthos’s keys just to check if one would fit the door of Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison)’s house.
Naturally, it did because Willow had placed a copy of her and Drew’s house key onto Michael Corinthos’s keyring. By the way, this is the key that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) duplicated from Scout Cain’s (Cosette Abinante) key; so, she might recognize it.
Tracy Gave The Key To Martin, And Willow Got It From Him
If you recall, Tracy gave it to Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) when she entered Drew’s house uninvited, and then Willow obtained it from him.
That was when Tracy attempted to reclaim the Quartermaine heirlooms. However, this is all part of Willow’s scheme to frame Michael Corinthos for Drew’s shooting.
It’s somewhat ironic that Willow’s child, Wiley, spilled the beans and created a significant hiccup in his mother’s plan.
Michael was taken aback when Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) mentioned they discovered Drew’s house key on Michael’s key ring.
Ric Put A Stop To Michael’s Arrest
Fortunately, Ric Lansing was present and quickly put a stop to it; additionally, Wiley informed Ric that his uncle Chase had his dad Michael’s keys. Consequently, Ric dropped the kids off with Willow and rushed over to prevent Michael from falling into a trap.
It seems that Ric, Michael, Dante, and DA Turner are all likely to point fingers at Chase.
Turner has already given Chase a hard time for his testimony at Willow’s trial, where he suggested that the PCPD made mistakes. This is why Dante demoted him to beat cop.
Chase Wasn’t Supposed To Conduct His Own Side Investigation To Exonerate Willow
They are also aware that Chase was conducting his own side investigation into Drew’s shooting while Willow was facing trial.
To complicate matters, Dante Falconeri recently asked Chase if he could rely on him to refrain from interfering in Michael’s investigation and to follow orders.
Chase, however, deceived Dante right to his face; additionally, he told Michael that he ought to be in jail for this situation.
In Chase’s defense, he did not place the key on Michael’s key ring; he was merely reviewing which keys were present.
However, it’s likely that Ric, Dante, Michael, and DA Justine Turner will all jump to the conclusion that Chase was the one who put the key on Michael Corinthos’s key ring.
Chase Was The One Who Hinted Nathan Should Check Michael’s Keys
Furthermore, Chase is the reason Nathan went to inspect Michael’s keys. Nathan revealed that it was Chase who encouraged him to check Michael’s key ring for a key that would allow access to Drew’s house.
This is yet another reason why Dante and the others will believe that Chase himself was responsible for planting the key.
Next week, Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) husband is going to face the consequences of his actions. There’s a good chance that Chase will be dismissed immediately.
Dante Will Be Outraged, Both As Chase’s Friend And His Boss
Dante will be outraged, both in his role as police commissioner and as a friend to Chase, viewing this as a significant betrayal.
The timing couldn’t be worse, especially since Brook Lynn just informed Chase that they could begin the adoption process. They promptly reached out to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to discuss how she could assist them in starting their family.
However, BLQ will most likely put a stop to that and tell Chase it’s not possible. They simply cannot embark on starting a family while he remains fixated on Willow.
Chase Is Obsessed With Getting Michael Arrested For Willow’s Crime
Chase is obsessed with undermining Michael Corinthos, whom Brook Lynn firmly believes is innocent-and he truly is; he’s been pushing Brook Lynn to her limits with his absurd and unwavering loyalty to Willow.
This could very well be the breaking point for BLQ, particularly since Michael is part of her family. Previously, there was a leak from a reliable source indicating that Josh Swickard might be leaving General Hospital.
While this remains unconfirmed and is merely a rumor, not a spoiler, the current situation with Chase suggests that he could potentially exit Port Charles in disgrace.
He will likely lose his job, his close friend Dante, and Brook Lynn may even insist on a separation due to this incident, potentially leading to a divorce.
Chase Will Try To Prove That He Didn’t Place The Key On The Keyring
And you can bet that Chase will attempt to clarify that he didn’t place the key, but he did disrupt the chain of evidence.
And, he broke several rules by taking Michael’s keys to check for a match. However, this raises suspicions; I doubt anyone will extend the benefit of the doubt to Harrison Chase, except for Willow.
Naturally, she will offer him plenty of sympathy while also feeling frustrated that her plan fell through.
Additionally, just so you know, Josh Swickard and his wife, Lauren Swickard, are expecting their third child; their new arrival is set to come any day now.
Josh May Be Getting Ready To Take A Break For Family Time
So perhaps Josh Swickard is considering taking a break to spend time with his family on their farm and step back from GH.
Even if he does leave the role of Chase, it doesn’t mean he wouldn’t come back if circumstances allow.
Regarding Katelyn MacMullen, I haven’t heard any news about her departure from GH, but Willow’s situation appears equally uncertain at this moment.
It’s possible Drew is about to receive a visitor who understands Morse code, and he will blink his way to a rescue that reveals his devious wife, Willow.
Drew attempted to reach out to Alexis but was unsuccessful, since she doesn’t know Morse Code, although she realized he was trying to give her a message.
A Big Reveal May Be Coming That Exposes Willow’s Treachery
Additionally, GH might be gearing up to reveal Willow as the congressional situation intensifies.
If she plans to pursue Drew’s congressional seat, that could be the moment she gets exposed, perhaps during a press conference or a debate, making it a public and chaotic affair. Alexis has her eyes on the seat as well, so it could turn into a competition of sorts.
Recently, the actress mentioned in an interview that when Willow is discovered and her secrets come to light, it will be the most devastating moment of her life.
There are strong suspicions that Michael might take the kids and attempt to prevent Willow from seeing them ever again.
Double Jeopardy Protects Willow From Being Prosecuted For The Shooting
They cannot charge her for shooting Drew due to double jeopardy laws. However, drugging him into paralysis is certainly a different matter. They might even be able to classify it as attempted murder.
There could also be a deal in which she leaves town to evade prosecution, perhaps negotiating with Drew.
That might be preferable to serving time in prison, at least from Willow’s viewpoint-there seems to be no way she can maintain access to her children in the aftermath of all this. As Willow and Chase are on the verge of being exposed, their situation appears grim.
Will Chase And Willow Leave Port Charles Together?
What’s astonishing is that everything that happens to him is entirely Willow’s doing, as Chase seems completely enchanted by her. So much so that Willow might even claim to Chase that she’s not guilty of these allegations either.
He could very well be the only person in Port Charles who genuinely trusts Willow; it’s clear that Chase is utterly oblivious when it comes to her.
So, when their lives inevitably fall apart, will they make a dramatic exit from town together in a grand walk of shame?
Keep in mind that Willow got together with Michael when Chase was dying, and cheated on him-Chase definitely shouldn’t trust her like he does!
