GH Spoilers Wednesday, September 23: Chase’s Custody War, Drew Gets Suspicious & Sonny Dares His Enemy

General Hospital  spoilers and updates for Wednesday, September 23 tease Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) needs a strategy, while Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) needs a plan.

Plus, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) mounts a challenge to someone.

Tracy’s Heart-To-Heart

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has a heart-to-heart with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) over the state of her marriage, which looks like it’s barreling towards its conclusion.

Tracy is talking about Chase when she tells Brook Lynn, “If he ends your marriage over this, then he’s the liar”.

Tracy is certain that  Chase has been cheating on his wife all along, although as yet, neither she nor Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) has been able to prove it.

Chase has made a huge and marriage-ending deal about Brook Lynn’s lies about her involvement in Jordan and Curtis Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper, Donnell Turner) wreck.

However, when it comes to him  being honest about his true feelings for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) that’s an entirely different story, as far as Tracy is concerned!

Chase Needs A Strategy

At the Metro Court Gardens, Chase is talking to Monet, (Blythe Howard) who happens to be Miller and Davis’ new employee, taking the late Marco Rios’ (Adrian Anchondo) place.

Chase tells Monet about his and Brook Lynn’s newly adopted daughter, Phoebe Chase (Luna and Lucia Creighton) and tells her he can’t lose her.

Then he asks, which strategy is best to make sure that he don’t?  Monet may give him some suggestions, although since Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) handled the adoption it may be a conflict of interest for her.

It’s possible Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) or possibly Monet herself may work on his custody case.

Ava Has Questions For Willow

It looks like Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Willow might be having brunch together, with either an orange juice or possibly a mimosa sitting in the background as they’re at a table.

Ava asks Willow an intriguing question-does she believe her mother is guilty? They’re talking about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) being extradited to Steinmauer, under suspicion of Jack Brennan’s (Chris L.McKenna) disappearance and possible murder.

Willow may not want to think that Nina killed Jack, but then again, perhaps the thought has crossed her mind.

But given that Jack had leverage against Drew, that would keep him under control, that really doesn’t make a lot of sense-Ava will agree Nina was framed and knows who did it!

Sonny’s Plan

Elsewhere, Sonny and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) strategize, as Sonny tells his brother, “If Drew wants to take a shot, let him try!” 

Chances are, they may be talking about the upcoming auction of Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) properties, although, of course, it could be something else.

Sonny knows that Drew had an interest in the piers he’s trying to buy back that Sidwell took over, because that’s where Drew wanted to put the McConkey Esplanade.

It was Drew’s illegal use of campaign money to fund the Esplanade that was the leverage that Jack had on him, but Sonny doesn’t know anything about that-perhaps he should!

Drew Mounts A Challenge

It’s obvious that Drew must be at Aurora Wellness, as he mounts a challenge-he sarcastically says to someone, “I was starting to think you were winning!”

He’s dressed in a sleeveless tank top like he’s getting ready to lift weights, certainly not dressed for the office. Mr. Overly Self-Confident looks like he’s getting ready to dare the other person to beat him again at something!

Drew will also note an interaction he observes between Chase and Willow. But what will he do with the knowledge he obtains-that’s one thing Tracy might find him useful for!
