GH Spoilers: Valentin and Carly Could Go For Gold As Anna And Jack Drift To The Background

General Hospital spoilers claim Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

While it looked like his plans to sweep Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) off her feet while trapped as a fugitive inside the walls of her lakeside home were going up in flames, he and Carly have decided he’s worth the risk of Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) potentially blowing it all to smithereens.

Is anyone surprised? Joss sure might be. The look on her face every time she sees her mother lately seems to be one of pure shock.

She continues to live in disbelief of who her mother is just because she has diverged from the family space they used to share.

But it’s explainable why Joss has turned out the way she has. It’s not confusing at all. What’s more unexpected is how hard Carly appears to be falling for a guy she certainly has known better than to trust. Aw what the heck, I’m here for it!

Joss, the Plot Hole

It’s hard to say how GH is going to address this moving forward. It’s been a minute since Joss discovered Valentin hiding out in her mother’s attic.

At that time, she was sure her mother was an innocent victim who had no idea her home was harboring a fugitive. Wait until she finds out Carly’s heart has been harboring him too! Joss gave her mom a warning.

She had one day to get rid of Valentin before Joss called in the cavalry to arrest and capture him. Somehow, that hasn’t happened yet, and Carly and Valentin aren’t afraid it’s going to.

Carly has made a compelling argument that she had to work with Valentin to protect her own family. Joss may see she doesn’t have a clean shot to take Valentin out without hurting her mom and siblings too. But Joss doesn’t know how her mom feels about this guy either.

Jason is Out of the Way

With Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) about to be on hiatus for months, Carly has all the runway she needs to make a go of things with Valentin.

No one else knows he’s there, and thus, no one can stand in her way or whisper in her ear that she is absolutely crazy to be working with this guy, much less sleeping with him!

Without Jason there to play the angel on her shoulder reminding her of her conscience, Will Cary throw caution to the wind and fall hard for one of the Cassadine family’s most notorious mad men?

Furthermore, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) looks like he’s getting pushed further to the sidelines, too, but Carly has the cover of knowing what he did to recruit Joss to ditch him. He doesn’t have to know about Valentin.

Sonny Could Blow the Lid Off This Scheme

Not so fast. If you think Carly and Valentin won’t face any more hurdles ahead, think again. Just because Jason is out of the picture until Summer doesn’t mean it’ll be an easy breezy Spring.

Still, a recent leak claims Valentin and Carly are going to keep getting cozy, and that leads me to believe Joss might rat them out to the one person she believes will take him out of the equation: Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Could that even the score with them and leave Joss feeling like she can’t ethically cherry-pick when she’s okay with Sonny’s line of work if she’s willing to use him when it’s convenient for her? Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
