‘GH’ Spoilers Thursday, August 20: Ric Sees Red, Jason’s Warning, Curtis’ Prison Nightmare

On the next GH ... Ric will see red, while Jason gets a warning. Plus, Curtis faces a Pentonville nightmare!

'GH' Spoilers Thursday, August 20: Ric Sees Red, Jason's Warning, Curtis' Prison Nightmare

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, August 20 tease Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) explains to spiraling Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst).

In the meantime, Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) offers reassurance, and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) gives solid advice.

Key Takeaways

  • Elizabeth tries to explain Ric’s spiral to Dante, who has clearly misread what he’s seen.
  • Isaiah offers Portia reassurance, possibly stepping up to help with baby Desmond in Curtis’ absence.
  • Speaking of, Alexis gives Curtis advice as he prepares to enter Pentonville.
  • Carly and Lulu compare notes, but their conversation could take a tense turn when Valentin enters the picture.
  • Josslyn warns Jason about Britt, suggesting she could eventually betray him.

Ric Lansing Sees Red

After Ric got an eyeful of Elizabeth rubbing a half-naked Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) leg on the couch (at least as far as Ric could see), she’ll offer an explaination.

Dante had possibly torn a tendon in the back of his leg below his knee, so he took his pants off so Elizabeth could check it more thoroughly, since he refused to go to the ER.

Elizabeth is smiling as she tells Ric, who has a bouquet and planned to propose to her, “Come be my guest; he’s not going anywhere!

Ric will most likely misinterpret the whole situation, and possibly even Elizabeth’s intentions regarding their relationship.

Liz and Dante have been bonding and getting closer, but at least so far, there doesn’t seem to be anything romantic going on-what’s romantic about a torn tendon?

Isaiah Gannon’s Reassurance

While at Isaiah’s cabin, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) looks sad, and Isaiah’s concerned.

He tells her maybe there’s something he can do to make “that” happen, whatever “that” is.

Perhaps she’s worried about who will care for baby Desmond Robinson Ashford (Yireh Aviah Lafond) when she goes back to work from maternity leave.

With Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) apparently pivoting from art to music, it’s hard to tell what her availability will be.

But if she allows Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) family members to care for Des, there will be too much Ashford control; might Isaiah be offering to take up the slack?

Alexis Davis Gives Sound Advice

General Hospital spoilers for August 20 note that as Curtis readies himself to move into the prison population at Pentonville, Alexis gives him some sound advice.

Curtis is obviously sharing his fears, since he can’t even try for parole for at least two more years.

Alexis advises, “You let yourself lean into that, and you may never come home to Des!”

It sounds like Alexis is giving him some do’s and don’ts to make it through his prison sentence in one piece and alive.

Pentonville can be a pretty rough place, as Curtis’ former best bud Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) found out!

Cousins Confer

Over at Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) kitchen, she’s with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) as the two cousins confer.

Carly is overwhelmingly positive while Lulu is … well,  not so much! In fact, she looks extremely doubtful and negative!

Carly says, “I’m telling you, it’s the best thing you can do for yourself!”  Likely sometime during this visit, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will show up, unless Lulu runs into him somewhere else.

Lulu and Valentin will definitely argue, and more than likely over Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke)!

Josslyn Jacks’ Warning

Elsewhere, General Hospital spoilers for Thursday’s show note that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) advises Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

She may be talking to him about Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) as she doles out what may be unwanted advice!

Joss tells Jason, “You give her enough time, and she’s going to sell you out!” She doesn’t trust the woman she’s talking to Jason about any further than she could throw her.

Jason looks both doubtful and troubled as the two continue to talk. Jason has to contrast any relationship he has against the parameters of whether it’s helpful or harmful for his son, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).
