GH Spoilers: The Shocking Twist – Is Michael Destined To Ruin Jacinda’s Future?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease a shocking twist may be coming for Jacinda Bracket (Paige Herschell) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson). Some aspects are negative, while others are positive; the situation in court became unstable this week, revealing the lies of Michael and Jacinda and changing the course of their lives.

If It Weren’t For Bad Luck In Romance, Michael Would Have No Luck At All!

If you’ve been watching General Hospital for a long time, you know how difficult Michael’s romantic life has been; it’s really quite sad.

Years before he met Jacinda, young Michael killed his stepmother, Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Joy Brown), to protect his mother, Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright).

This was mentioned this week when Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) testified about whether he was biased for not considering Michael a suspect in Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting.

 Remember, Michael spent some time in prison for killing Claudia. While in Pentonville, he was raped, which was a horrific first sexual experience for him.

Michael Struggled With Trauma And Traumatic Romances

He was just a young man, and it was truly awful. After getting out of Pentonville, Michael struggled with trauma and shared his feelings with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) learned about this and wanted to help.

She introduced Michael to Abby Haver (Andrea Bogart), an exotic dancer she knew. Michael and Abby connected well, and she became his first intimate experience with a woman and his first true love.

So, it makes sense that he isn’t bothered by Jacinda’s job since his first love, Abby, was in a similar profession.

Michael’s Series Of Dying Girlfriends

However, we must acknowledge that Michael has incredibly bad luck with women. He cherished her, but Abby tragically lost her life when a heap of construction debris fell from a crane in Chicago, crushing both her body and Michael’s heart-he was heartbroken.

Moreover, his romantic life has been troubled ever since; the women Michael becomes involved with often end up either pregnant, dead, or both.

Do you recall the lovely Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo), whom Michael fell deeply in love with? He intended to propose to her-he had the ring ready; he had everything planned out. 

Did Michael Inherit His Bad Romantic Luck From Tracy?

Yet, the serial killer known as the hospital killer-I refer to him as the GH Strangler, also known as District Attorney Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi)-took Sabrina’s life after she discovered he was the perp.

One has to wonder if Michael’s unfortunate romantic luck is inherited from his grandmother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot); Hornsby was her second husband and the father of his uncle Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Palmer Watkins)!

Consequently, Michael was heartbroken and placed the engagement ring on Sabrina Santiago’s cold, lifeless finger while he wept at her deathbed.

It’s such a tragic conclusion for Sabrina, but honestly, it’s not Michael’s worst relationship; not even close-and we can’t forget he was involved with Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin)-she was murdered too!

Michael’s Love Life Went To Nelle

Before Jacinda or Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) got involved with Michael, there was the truly terrible Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier).

You might recall that Nelle arrived in Port Charles with the intention of ruining Carly, and she manipulated and deceived Michael before becoming pregnant with his child.

After discovering her true intentions and that she was targeting Carly, Michael left Nelle; subsequently, Nelle wronged Michael by keeping their son, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), away from him.

She then married mobster Julian Jerome (William DeVry) and eventually fell off a cliff to her death;  Nelle was Michael’s absolute worst relationship, even worse than her cheating twin sister, Willow. Although Willow has treated Michael poorly, I still consider Nelle to be worse.

Jacinda Is Kinder, But Willow Grew Up In A Cult

Jacinda, on the other hand, appears to be much kinder than either Willow or Nelle, even though she has found herself in a difficult situation of selling herself to make ends meet.

Willow’s life was a mess before meeting Michael. She grew up in a cult and was betrayed by her mother, Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel), who gave her to cult leader Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) for abuse.

Later, Willow discovered that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is her real mother and that her twin is the terrible Nelle; Willow’s cancer nearly took her life, and Michael almost lost her then.

Willow’s troubled past with Shiloh perhaps made her vulnerable to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), who turned her from a victim into a villain.

Michael Was Heartbroken By Willow’s Affair But Wanted Things To Work Out

Michael was heartbroken by the affair but still wanted to give Willow another chance; instead, she chose the awful Drew-now, Michael is connecting with Jacinda, raising questions about her future with him.

Also, between Willow and Jacinda, there was Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), who struggled with drugs and had a public breakdown after getting involved with Michael.

One drunken night led to Sasha getting pregnant, and Willow targeted her and her baby, Daisy Gilmore (Evelyn and Brenden Beimford), scaring Sasha into leaving the country. This was another heartbreak for Michael, as he rarely sees his daughter Daisy.

Michael’s Bad Romantic Luck Continuing?

Jacinda might end up pregnant, seriously ill, or even dead, as often happens to women close to Michael. Michael and Jacinda will get through this tough time, and Michael will continue to see her, but being with him is risky.

If we learn anything from General Hospital’s past, it’s that the soap seldom lets Michael be happy for too long-his life has been filled with one tragedy after another.

Some fans are  hoping Jacinda gets pregnant-Michael would be thrilled; Willow, on the other hand, would probably dislike it.

Hopefully, Jacinda doesn’t fall off a cliff, develop cancer, or become a target for a serial killer or stalked by Willow!
