GH Spoilers: The Proof Was There All Along – Willow is Every Bit as Crazy as Nelle, We Watched Her Spiral

General Hospital spoilers reveal Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) is finally coming out of her shell after years of playing the role of the meek and mild supporting character to several other more fiery women.

Willow’s true colors don’t exactly paint her as a fierce or strong woman though. They make her look downright crazy, and that might be because she is. We can’t ignore the family history.

Not only has her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), had several bouts of mental health woes herself, but her late twin sister, Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), was anything but sane.

Now that we’ve seen what Willow is really all about, it might be time to reassess who the evil twin really is. Just how much is Willow like her twin sis?

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Recall that Willow first came to town the daughter of a woman named Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel). Harmony had raised Willow up in a cult and passed on some very detrimental lessons to her daughter about faith, authority, and relationships with men.

As a result, Willow was subservient and didn’t seem to know herself without a male to attach herself to.

So it’s so convenient that she met Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) in a grief support group and became emotionally codependent on him, just like Nelle did, and just like Nina has with many men she has dated and even married over the years.

Of course, we can’t forget that Willow has had plenty of ups and downs with both of her mothers, too. Stability isn’t in her nature.

GH Spoilers Say Drew Didn’t Just Lure Her Away

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) didn’t actually have any power over Willow; she gave it to him, much the way she gave power over herself to David ‘Shiloh’ Archer (Cody Ryan McLaughlin) once upon a time.

Sure, Drew saved her life, but Willow didn’t have to show her gratitude by turning on the husband who nursed her through cancer and made her a mother — twice.

Willow also cheated on Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) — another man she married even though she didn’t love him. Remember when Nelle married Julian Jerome (William de Vry) to try to blackmail him into seeking custody of Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver)?

Sounds a bit familiar to Willow marrying Drew to get custody of Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko)?

A Kidnapping Wannabe Killer

Willow didn’t shoot Drew until September of 2025, but it was months before in June that baby Daisy Corinthos Gilmore (Brendan and Evelyn Beimford) was kidnapped briefly while inside her own home, as well as clearly changed and moved in her bed — alarming her mother, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson).

Willow was trying to get under Sasha’s skin enough to cause her to flee, costing Michael his child. When she succeeded, she was thrilled and couldn’t mask the smile on her face, which Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Nina caught.

Michael keeps telling everyone Willow isn’t who they think she is, and I believe that’s true. I’m just waiting for him to call her out for being just like Nelle! Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers right here, every day.
