an you imagine the epic showdown between two Jasons, namely Jason Morgan (Steve  Burton) and Jason Vorhees (Kane Hodder) of “Friday The 13th” fame, and would Stone Cold survive?

The Crossover Of All Crossovers

Fans of General Hospital and daytime television are quite accustomed to the concept of crossovers, but imagine the thrilling scenario where one of the soap opera’s most well-known characters encounters a legendary figure from the horror genre!

Viewers who enjoy slasher films are probably familiar with the Friday the 13th series, which prominently features the infamous Jason Voorhees.

However, for those who may not be acquainted with this character, let me provide a brief overview.

Jason is a figure who, as legend has it, was believed to have drowned due to the negligence of camp counselors at Camp Crystal Lake.

Yet, he makes a chilling return time and time again, driven by a desire to avenge his mother, and his method of doing so is through the brutal murder of unsuspecting teenagers.

Notorious Slasher Versus Patient Six?

If you really stretch your imagination and suspend disbelief, you could find a few similarities between the two fictional characters, both named Jason.

Jason Vorhees wore a mask when on his killing sprees, and Jason Morgan wore a mask when he was held captive as Patient Six.

That was the storyline on General Hospital that brought Jason back from the “dead” the first time, and GH fans all learned that Jason Morgan had a secret twin who everyone only thought was the real Jason.

Of course, that turned out to be Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) before he disappeared for several years and was thought to be dead as well!

Why Are We Comparing Jasons?

So, why are we sharing this with you and comparing Jasons in the first place?

Well, Steve Burton and his wife Michelle recently visited The Nostalgia Con in Dallas, Texas, where the ABC soap star had the chance to meet one of the actors who portrayed the undead, masked serial killer.

As an exciting bonus, fans were treated to a preview of a showdown that could potentially break Stone Cold.

“Jason vs. Jason,” Burton posted alongside a dramatic photo with one of the actors who took on the role;  “The dream matchup! It was fantastic to meet Kane Hodder [from] Friday the 13th… Who do you think wins?”

Additionally, Burton’s proud wife shared some pictures too-including a sneak peek of her “Jason” in action at the event.
