GH Spoilers: Sonny And Justine’s One-Night Stand Could Have Serious Consequences

General Hospital spoilers gush Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) were smiling from ear to ear after giving into their mutual attraction and “scratching the itch,” as Sonny put it.

Justine thinks she’s out of the woods now because she jumped in, got it over with, and can now move on from the magnetic pull that kept drawing her nearer to Sonny.

She just needed to know what that would feel like, and now that she knows, she won’t ever need to feel it again — or so she’s telling herself.

Something tells me Sonny is hip to her mental gymnastics and expects her to come back around, and he’ll play it real cool waiting for that to happen.

It seems like Justine will fall for him all on her own this time. But both of them could face serious consequences for their decision if it turns out there are lasting side effects from their one-night stand. Any guesses at what that may be?

Something Worth Leaving Behind

Justine almost left her earring behind, and that could’ve been some cleverly placed foreshadowing for other events to come.

Is there some other trace of her that Sonny might miss when he picks up the place and leaves it for the next time Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) needs a place to crash after closing up at Charlie’s?

It’s also possible that someone could have seen Justine going into the bar, or leaving Sonny’s secret studio apartment. How would that look? It wouldn’t bode well for her career or his, that’s for certain.

Once is Never Enough

Listen, we’ve sat idly by for the last couple of years since Sonny divorced Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) knowing that at some point, the guy was going to stumble into some kind of new romance. We just didn’t expect it to take this long.

Historically, Sonny is never single for this long. Regardless, he’s been playing this game of cat and mouse with Justine for quite some time.

She might think he has landed his conquest and will move on as easily as she plans to, but it seems like these two have entirely too much fun with each other to just walk away.

Think they’ll be able to steer clear from this point out now that they both know what they’d be missing? If they can’t call it quits, they just might end up head over heels — and over their heads.

Baby Blues

Last but not least, it only takes once, right? A one-night stand sounds ideal and like the least amount of risk involved while still getting to relieve their curiosities and hopefully move forward as nothing more than two people who live in the same town.

But if Justine finds herself battling morning sickness more than court cases in the weeks ahead, that could bring both her and Sonny — and any idea of a relationship together — to a screeching halt.

They were worried about the public optics of people even knowing they associate with each other, much less jumped into bed or are having a child together.
