General Hospital spoilers reveal that Peter August (Wes Rasmey) might be gearing up for a stunning return.

Could he be the man behind the mysterious letters Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has been getting at the mental health facility in France? Let’s talk about it!

Anna Devane’s Explosive Return

General Hospital spoilers suggest that Anna returned to the canvas during the Wednesday, June 24 episode. Fans get the feeling that Anna has a plan, as she played along with her doctors in France.

While Anna still believes that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) might still be alive, she acknowledged that he was, in fact, dead, and she told them she allowed her mind to get the better of her. Still, perhaps the most intriguing part of Anna’s comeback scenes was the last scene.

After calling Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), asking her friend to come visit her at the clinic, Anna whipped out a stack of letters, separating a particular one from the bunch. What’s this letter about, and who’s it from?

Anna’s Intel

General Hospital summer previews reveal that Anna will return to Port Charles; however, she’ll have an uphill battle where loved ones are concerned.

First and foremost, the head writers for the ABC soap, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, told Soap Opera Digest (SOD) that Anna knows that Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) isn’t Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), but will struggle to release this intel because she’s locked away at the facility.

In addition, they noted, “Any happy reunions with friends and family are colored by counsel from a less-than-reliable source.” Is Peter the ‘less-than-reliable source’ Van Etten and Korte are referring to?

Could he be the one writing those letters to Anna? Was he taunting her, or truly providing valuable information? While the Cassius intel is correct, is he feeding her other info that is not?

As it turned out, Anna didn’t end up being Peter’s mom, her twin sister, Alex Devane (Finola Hughes), was. With that said, Anna still has a very dicey relationship with her nephew.

She also still carries a great deal of guilt when it comes to the man. Will he use this to take Anna down a windy road of danger?
