Fan fave Nathan Dean recently dished on Ethan and Delilah’s relationship in a new interview, and it sounds like there’s a lot more going on than meets the eye.

When pregnant Delilah was found in the street and rushed to the hospital, we didn’t know anything about the mystery woman. Sadly, she passed away after giving birth to Phoebe and we never were able to learn anything about her.
Recently it was revealed on General Hospital that Delilah came to Port Charles to meet up with Ethan.
For some reason, he was supposed to be helping the pregnant woman. After he learned Delilah had passed away, Ethan ceremoniously burnt her picture and began taking an interest in her daughter.

Nathan Dean sat down with Soap Opera Digest to discuss the upcoming storyline, and explained his character’s relationship with the baby.
The actor dished, “This is a very complicated situation and Ethan doesn’t necessarily need people digging into the circumstances of how we got here, what the relationship with Delilah was and why we had to come to Port Charles. But Ethan definitely wants to make sure that this kid is taken care of. He feels like he’s the reason that Delilah got killed and he doesn’t want to screw things up more than he already has.”
It sounds like Ethan was trying to protect Delilah and her baby from someone and that threat could still be out there. But, why is it his responsibility unless he is the baby’s father?
