GH Spoilers: Most Disappointing Returning Character OF 2025 – Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson)

General Hospital spoilers tease that 2025 has been quite the year in Port Charles. Familiar faces returned, seemingly from the dead like Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey).

While the mystery of their comebacks still hasn’t completely played out, there is another character who came back last year whose story ended in a most disappointing way. Yes, we are talking about Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson)!

Lucky Spencer Came Back With A Bang

When we first saw Lucky last year, he was the prisoner of Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) somewhere in Africa.

Everyone in Port Charles was desperate to find Lucky because they thought he was the most likely to be a match for his sister, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havans), who needed a liver transplant.

Jenz kept Lucky alive to play poker with him. And because Lucky kept beating him, Jenz kept him alive until he could beat Lucky at cards.

Luckily, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) arrived to rescue him. Eventually, they all escaped Sidwell and returned to Port Charles.

Lucky Spencer Didn’t Want To Be In Port Charles

Unfortunately, Lucky wasn’t able to donate a portion of his liver to save Lulu. With no purpose left for him in Port Charles, he began to whine to anyone who would listen that he didn’t belong in Port Charles.

Really, the only thing that kept him in town was Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). Soon, Lucky and Elizabeth began to suspect that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) had killed several patients at the hospital.

Since Ellizabeth was the prime suspect, they worked together until they eventually got a confession out of Cyrus.

Lucky Spencer Covered For Kristina Corinthos-Davis

Meanwhile, Lucky began to bartend at Charlie’s Pub where he became closer to Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), even helping Kristina cover up her attempted murder of Ava Jerome (Maura West) even though Liz almost died because of Kristina’s actions.

Eventually, Lucky proposed to Elizabeth. When she turned him down, Lucky decided to leave Port Charles once again. This time, no one stopped him. Although Lucky came on with great fanfare, he never really had much to do.

Even the Cyrus story was more focused on Liz. He was just a supporting player in other people’s stories. So, when he left, hardly anyone noticed. Or cared.
