‘GH’ Spoilers Monday, February 9: Lucy Explodes, Jason Alarmed, Carly Pushes Valentin

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, February 9 tease Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) clash, while Laura Collins (Genie Francis) gives bad news.

Plus, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) delivers a message to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Lucy And Ava Clash

At Wyndemere, Lucy and Ava clash and it’s probably over their mutual interest Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) as Lucy appears not to appreciate Ava’s presence at Wyndemere.

Lucy snarks at a perfectly calm, cool, and collected Ava and slings accusations. Lucy tells her she does know what she’s selling, and it certainly isn’t art!

As for Jenz, he’s flirtatious with both of them and seems to enjoy a lot of female attention.

Considering the two women have both traveled romantic paths of bad men and didn’t appreciate their good ones, Jenz seems like their type!

Laura Gives Bad News

In the mayor’s office, Laura has gathered Chief of Detectives Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Acting Port Charles Police Commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

She gives the two the bad news that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is not going to be coming back as police commissioner.

Mac, along with Felicia and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) just returned from France, where they found Anna in bad shape with an incredulous story.

Anna is in a psychiatric clinic where she seems to have had some kind of a psychotic break-there had been discussion by Dante previously that she may have PTSD.

Valentin Continues Bonding With Carly

In the meantime, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) continues bonding with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in an unlikely friendship.

Valentin tells a smiling Carly that she always knows the right buttons to push! Even though this partnership started as a mutual takedown society of Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) the two are bonding as parents of daughters.

So, this begs the question, exactly whose buttons are Valentin referring to? Is he referring to Brennan’s, or referring to his own?

Felicia Delivers A Message

In the meantime, Felicia delivers a message to Jason, apparently reconsidering Anna’s incredulous tale.

Anna had asked her to tell Jason that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) is alive-she didn’t have trouble believing it considering Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) are!

She even saw Peter August (Wes Ramsey) alive, after Felicia and she saw him die after the rescue of Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Bailey Lou Jones (Miley and Riley Plonski)! 

Jason looks incredulous as she no doubt tells him that Anna wants him to know Faison as alive-but will it really surprise him?

Heartbroken Emma Updates Gio Palmieri

Elsewhere, a heartbroken Emma updates Gio Palmieri, (Giovanni Mazza) and she’s in tears. She had to watch her grandmother in great distress, fearful, and not herself at all-and kept in a mental hospital in France.

Emma cries as she tells Gio that she lost the grandma that she knew-Anna had told her and Mac and Felicia that she’d been held captive and escaped.

How will Emma go on having watched her grandma go from a strong and smart woman to a fearful bundle of nerves? Will she ever be the Anna Devane everyone knew again?
