GH Spoilers: Maxie’s Cool With Lulu And Nathan Because She Doesn’t Believe It’s Him?

General Hospital Spoilers: Maxie Ends Up Cool With Lulu And Nathan Because She Doesn't Believe It's Him?General Hospital spoilers gossip Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is beyond annoyed and distraught over her best friend, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), moving in on her ex-husbands, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), while she was in a coma.

We’ve been back and forth as to whether Lulu and Maxie will be able to move past this and maintain their friendship, but what about Maxie’s dilemma of having to co-parent with Nathan?

How is she going to avoid seeing her best friend with her former husband when he’s bound to become a regular part of their lives? She can’t cut Nathan out of James West’s (Gary James Fuller) life — or can she?

This is Half the Story

Maxie hasn’t really addressed how she feels about Nathan’s side of this. She’s looking at it more like Lulu did something to her than they both did.

For some reason, she seems inclined to give Nathan more of a pass, like he’s some sort of victim in the mix. Little does she know, Nathan pursued Lulu more intensely than she did him.

Maxie’s feelings seemed to matter more to her bestie than her former hubs the whole time. For Lulu, she at least spent those seven years since Nathan’s “death” watching Maxie move on. But Nathan claimed time had stood still for him.

So Nathan was only without Maxie for a few months before he ditched her and went after Lulu. Make it make sense!

Maxie Knows Best

Never argue with a mother who thinks she is protecting her child. And goodness, Maxie is the least of all mothers to try that with. She’s only seen Nathan one time, and for mere minutes, since her return home.

As the dust settles and she gets the opportunity to spend more time with him, it’s possible that she’s going to notice some issues that no one else has so far.

After all, no one knew Nathan better than she did. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) may have played a close second, but she’s off to New Zealand now and won’t be around to call Nathan out on any more of his odd behavior. Will Maxie step in where she left off?

Red Flags Waving

Nathan has already made a few unforced errors that go against the very grain of who we always knew him to be. The broken chain of custody at the PCPD was messy and not like him.

The comments that he would stay with Maxie if that’s what James wanted signaled he didn’t want to be with Maxie himself. Also strange. But nothing was more dubious than how he pursued Lulu while Maxie was laying in a hospital room that he never even visited.

So it’s only a matter of time before Nathan makes more missteps that have Maxie’s head on a swivel. Will that be the catalyst for her realizing this is not actually the man she married? If so, will that make her more wary of her bestie getting close to him, or will it help her let go?
