GH Spoilers: Kate Mansi Exits Soap Unexpectedly

General Hospital spoilers say a fan fave is leaving the ABC soap opera.  Kate Mansi has reportedly left the building and already filmed her final scenes as Kristina Corinthos-Davis.

Why Is Kate Mansi Leaving

Kate Mansi joined the cast of General Hospital in 2023 when she replaced Lexi Ainsworth.  The Days of Our Lives actress quickly gained fans’ support and made the role of Kristina Corinthos-Davis her own.

However, her contract ran out this month and the actress opted not to renew with the daytime show.  Kate’s husband is travelling overseas for work soon and that’s believed to be a huge factor in her decision.

According to GH spoilers, Kate already filmed her final episodes for the soap and has said goodbye to the cast and crew.

Kristina Corinthos-Davis is set to keep appearing in new episodes up until the end of June.  So far it’s not clear how the character will exit.

If Kate Mansi quit filming before they were able to write the character out, the soap might bring in  a recast to wrap up loose ends.

Will Kristina Be Back

Kristina Corinthos-Davis is involved in some major storylines on General Hospital right now and related to most of the characters in Port Charles.

  It’s hard to imagine the daytime show without Sonny Corinthos and Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) daughter.

General Hospital showrunner Frank Valentini confirmed in a recent Soap Opera Digest interview that Mansi was leaving, but he also made it clear that the door is always open for the actress to return.

More than likely the writers will just have Kristina leave town for the foreseeable future.  Rumor has it Kristina’s exit could coincide with Ethan Lovett’s (Nathan Dean) storyline with Delilah and Phoebe.
