GH Spoilers: Joss Straddles The Fence — Will She Betray Carly, Or Her Career?

General Hospital spoilers gush Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) is furious with her mother. The feeling seems mutual, but they both unloaded months-worth of grief and resentment in each others’ directions, and it left them reeling in search of support.

Previews show Joss is going to run to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) for solidarity. The look on his face when she tells him Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has been conspiring with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and hosting him in her home is a doozy.

The Chain of Command

Obviously, Joss needs time to calm down before she can possibly report anything back to her boss, who just happens to be her mother’s boyfriend — if she’s even going to do that. First, she needs to run this by the resident family moral compass — Jason.

Is Joss telling him to tattle, sure that Jason will speed right over to lecture Carly, or because she’s actually concerned about Valentin’s role in any of this? It seems a bit like an immature play at retaliation.

Jason Isn’t the One for Carly Right Now

Carly, on the other hand, seems like she’s about to give into the finer things in life and seek some unspoken comfort from Valentin. All this time, it hasn’t made much sense that Carly was keeping Jason at arms’ length.

She never told him about her plotting with Valentin to take Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) down. She probably didn’t want him to tell her she can’t do that, or worse — try to stop her altogether.

She was bent on sticking it to Jack, and Valentin was the best man for the job. Besides, he wants to save her daughter, and she doesn’t seem to think Jason can do that.

Will Joss Spill the Beans to Jack?

Carly might have to scuffle with Jason over this, but will she also have it out with Jack? I can’t see Joss telling Jack that Valentin was at Carly’s place. She’s not going to blow up her mother’s relationship with him.

Carly can clearly do that all on her own, and what’s it to Joss if Jack gets raked over the coals? She’d probably enjoy watching that even while she’s ticked at her mom.

Furthermore, she would have to explain to Jack why she let Valentin get away, and why she gave her mom a day to ditch him, versus bringing him in.

It’s starting to look like Joss is choosing Team Carly already, even if she doesn’t know it. Keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers to gauge whether it stays that way.
