General Hospital spoilers reveal that there will be a new face on the soap next week. It was revealed in April that Jonathan Bennett had joined the cast as Joe Fitzpatrick, and his premiere date is right around the corner.
Here’s everything we know about the new GH character, keep reading for all the details.
There’s A New Cop In Town
According to General Hospital comings and goings, Jonathan Bennett’s first air date will be Monday May 18.
Most soap viewers will remember Bennett from his iconic role as Aaron Samuels on the cult classic Mean Girls.
A much younger Bennett played Rachel McAdams’ and Lindsay Lohan’s love interest.
Since then Bennett has appeared on several Hallmark Channel and Lifetime movies and TV shows.
You might recognize the newest addition to the General Hospital cast from Veronica Mars, Cupcake Wars, Celebrity Big Brother, Smallville, Van Wilder, and All My Children.
Who Is Joe Fitzpatrick
Last month when the network announced Bennett’s casting news, it was revealed that his character Joe Fitzpatrick would be a new member of the Port Charles Police Department.
It will definitely be interesting to see if he’s a good cop or a bad cop, because there’s a lot of shady stuff happening at the PCPD right now.
The lead detective in Port Charles is an impostor and the police commissioner’s son just got away with shooting Cullum after a complicated cover-up. In fact, Fitzpatrick might even be Nathan West’s replacement.
Once Cassius’ cover is blown, he can’t keep clocking in as a cop everyday and the police department is going to be short staffed.
Is the Mean Girls’ star supposed to serve as the force’s replacement eye-candy?
Are you a fan of Jonathan Bennett? Do you think he’ll make a good addition to the cast?
