GH Spoilers: Jason’s Shocking Exit From Port Charles

General Hospital spoilers suggest that Jason Morgan is about to make a shocking exit. Actor Steve Burton recently revealed that he’s taking a ‘short break’ from storylines, which means that Jason is here now, but may be gone by tomorrow! How will Jason leave the canvas?

Jason Morgan Will Be Back

Burton uploaded a major announcement on Instagram on Tuesday, February 10, when he told followers he was taking a small hiatus from General Hospital.

Rest assured, he’s spending quality time with family and will be back by the summer; however, GH viewers are now buzzing about how the character will exit.

Jason currently has his hand in many storyline pots. From his guilt surrounding Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) mental health breakdown to assisting Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in taking Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) out and his romantic reunion with Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) – Jason will be missed during the short time he’s away.

Jason’s Exit – Oh, The Possibilities!

General Hospital spoilers also remind fans that Jason is the sole guardian of his son, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), so his exit will affect this character, too.

Could Jason be placed in a situation where he’s presumed dead? Could he get caught up in the mob action or Sidwell/Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) research, where they attempt to take him out? Could he possibly land in a coma?

Then again, is he kidnapped or held hostage against his will? There are so many ways that Jason could leave. How would Britt, Danny, Carly, and Sonny deal with this news?

Then again, maybe it’s a less anticlimactic moment, where Jason simply heads out of town for unknown business. With that said, would Danny accompany him?

Regardless, there’s nothing the ABC soap loves more than drama, so GH is sure to try to capitalize on Jason’s departure to offer up some shock value. Especially since they are going to lose one of their top stars … even if it’s only for a few months.
