GH Spoilers: Jason Morgan Kidnapped?!

Steve Burton announced this week that he’s taking a break from General Hospital, that means Jason Morgan will be exiting the soap soon. 

The Port Charles fan fave reassured fans he would return, and hopes to be back on the canvas by this summer.  In the mean time, how are the ABC soap writers going to explain Jason Morgan’s absence?

Jason’s In Danger & Doesn’t Know It

There’s no indication that Steve Burton’s character will be killed off, the actor made it pretty clear he would be back on social media. 

Jason Morgan is a huge part of several storylines in Port Charles.  Right now Stone Cold is currently investigating Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) hospitalization.

According to General Hospital spoilers, it’s only a matter of time before Jason Morgan heads to Europe to try and speak to Anna and get to the bottom of what’s going on at the mental hospital. 

He might even put together a rescue mission and try to spring her from the institution.  Will his attempt to save Anna go south and put him in danger?

Coma, Prison, Or Kidnapping

Since we know Jason Morgan is going to return eventually, that gives the writers three options. 

Steve Burton’s character could get busted trying to save Anna and European authorities could lock him up in some sort of foreign prison.  But, things could also take a turn for the worse.

This week on General Hospital, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) woke up from her coma.  Did they bring her back just so they could put Jason Morgan in to a coma? 

If Jason gets shot or worse, the writers could explain his absence by putting him in to a coma (similar to what they did with Storms when she went on hiatus). 

But, if Jason isn’t careful he could wind up in a straightjacket next door to Anna Devane.  Rumor has it, he could be kidnapped an held hostage like Anna.  When Steve Burton is ready to return to work, someone can go across the pond and rescue him.
