GH Spoilers: Is Kirsten Storms Back Filming As Maxie Jones

Maxie Jones unexpectedly left Port Charles in March 2026, Kirsten Storms’ exit took fans by surprise because her character had JUST returned.

Since the actress’ exit, there has been a lot of drama in her personal life.  But, it looks like Kirsten Storms could be returning!

GH Spoilers: Maxie’s Latest Exit

It’s hard to keep track of Kirsten Storms’ statuses on General Hospital because she has come and gone so many times over the course of the past couple years.

Maxie miraculously woke up from her coma and returned to Port Charles in late 2026.  Then she vanished from the canvas in March.  In July, the soap wrote the character out and revealed she had moved away with Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).

After Storms’ most recent exit, her name was in the tabloids again because of court papers her ex Brandon Barash had filed against her in regards to their daughter Harper.

Barash cited mental health and drug issues in his family court docs, but Storms argued back that her behavior was a result of the recent brain tumor she had removed.

Regardless, there’s clearly a lot going on in the star’s personal life and that’s why she left the soap (again.)

Kirsten Storms Shares Mysterious Post

Kirsten Storms took to social media this week and shared a positive update with her followers.  The actress posed for a selfie to show off her new hairstyle and revealed she was back in California.

General Hospital fans were thrilled by the fan fave’s post, and rumors began running rampant that Maxie Jones was returning to the daytime drama.  Generally, Storms dyes her hair blond when she’s filming as Maxie.

Interestingly, Maxie Jones will be on the soap opera next week.  However, the scenes airing the week of August 18 were actually pre-taped months ago before Kirsten Storms left Los Angeles.
