Sports fans know Smith as Screamin’ A. Smith, an entertaining and bodacious journalist who’s rumored to be eyeing a run for US President in 2028.
And you may have seen him in CarShield commercials (The Young and the Restless’ Vivica A. Fox, Stephanie Simmons, also stars in CarShield adverts). When does this handsome and talented multihyphenate have time to sleep?
Stephen A. Smith is a Multi-Hyphenate
Thursday morning on his ESPN “First Take” Smith mentioned his GH alter ego, telling his co-hosts that Brick will soon be seen in one of those infamous soapy shirtless scenes.
Then he got personal, showing off pics of his major weight loss. The first pic seen onscreen showed Smith in profile, his stomach protruding like a basketball.
According to Smith it was taken during the COVID-19 pandemic when he was “one point” away from being fully diabetic.

At that time, retaining 29% body fat, he was close to requiring medications for the rest of his life. But the next pic he showed revealed a supple and lissome torso, one GH fans can look forward to seeing soon: this time the basketball was in his hands.
The photos were like night and day and showed off the hard work Smith put in to get healthy, including lowering his body fat by approximately two thirds.

Smith said he had a little bit of help, shouting out “My friend JJ Smith with nutrition and green smoothie drinks. To Gary Brecka, for 10x Health and now the ultimate human … he saved my life. To my trainer, Obi Obadike, I train like five or six days a week …”
Just in case you’re wondering, Smith, a native New Yorker, is pulling for the Knicks to win the NBA Finals after they won game one against San Antonio.
Of his beloved Knickerbockers Smith intoned: “Y’all better win [Friday night] or we ain’t coming back. I’m telling you, you better win tomorrow night.”
