‘GH’ Spoilers Friday, January 23: Britt’s Demand, Ava Interrupts, Emma Freaking!

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, January  23 tease Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) explains, Ava Jerome (Maura West) interrupts, and Emma Scorpio-Drake’s (Braedyn Bruner) worries!

Also, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has questions, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) talks the future, and Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) fights hallucinations.

Carly Explains

At Bobbie’s, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) walked in on a major argument between Carly and Britt-Carly tells him that Britt wanted a fight right there! Jason looks puzzled.

What neither Carly nor Jason know is that crooked WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) threatened Jason to Britt!

Britt had complained about her room over Bobbie’s to Carly, telling her she was having problems with cooking smoke and the like, making excuses.

Things devolved into a fierce argument between the two, and Carly tells Jason her side of it.

Britt Has Questions

In spite of that Britt is likely trying to create good excuses to break up with Jason when their romance has barely started, she tears into Jason with questions.

She has a point, when she demands of Jason who comes first-her or Carly? All the years combined that Carly was married to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) it’s like the three were always a trio-and Sonny just accepted it.

It’s Carly that’s not accepting that Jason wants to be involved with Britt, and even when he first became involved with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) she wouldn’t accept her either!

Ava Interrupts

At Wyndemere, Ava interrupts Josslyn Jacks (Eden Mc Coy) as she’s probably snooping. Even though Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) deactivated Josslyn for her own safety, she may still find herself snooping just a little bit while waiting for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis). Ava says to Josslyn, “Seems like maybe I interrupted something?”

Will Ava keep this to herself, or will Josslyn come up with a believable cover story?  Perhaps, Lucas will walk in on the questioning session-and maybe Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) will be with him?

Chase Talks The Future

In the meantime, back at the Quartermaine mansion, Chase talks the future to Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton).

He tells her that he thinks it’s time they focus there attention on adopting. They tabled the discussion when the truth about Gio Palmieri (Giovannii Mazza) being Brook Lynn’s son came out, but now mother and son have made strides in their relationship.

However, with Chase’s demotion to a beat cop, will his job be more dangerous? Will that even factor into their discussion about starting their family?

Emma’s Worried

Emma and Gio are at the police station talking to Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) about Emma’s worries about Anna.

Emma’s face is filled with fear as she tells Nathan she’s starting to think that her grandma’s in trouble. Nathan looks very concerned at what Emma is telling him, but will he be able to help?

This may be something that he will need to refer to someone over his head. On the other hand, might Nathan be more involved in this than he could ever admit?

Anna Fights Hallucinations

In the meantime, in spite of Pascal (Marc Forget) supposedly being in France to take care of something, Anna appears to still be in her cell underneath Wyndemere Castle.

It’s obvious she’s fighting hallucinations-or something- as she fights her visions of Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

But is she looking at someone and seeing them as someone else, as when the nurse gave her a phlebotomy, and she thought she was Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati)?

Or is she literally chasing ghosts, with the image she sees being a hologram from a projector? Either way, Anna is talking to what she sees, saying “This is not happening, you’re not here”!
