GH Spoilers: Ethan’s Back To Take Down The Bad Guys & Expose Cassius?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that soldier of fortune, Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean), reappeared in Port Charles on the April 17 episode.

What has he been up to, where has he been–these are the questions his sister Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) asked. We will have to wait for the answers but we predict his appearance is linked to several bombshells!

Nathan Dean Returns as Ethan

Ethan Lovett debuted in 2009 and, long story short, everyone discovered that he is the son of Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), conceived during an affair.

Holly gave him away and he was raised by parents who died when he was a teen.

Along the way Ethan married into the Quartermaine family, flirted with Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) and mixed it up with Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers).

After a kidnapping gone wrong, Ethan left Port Charles and we next saw him in 2020 in Monte Carlo and in 2023 as a Cassadine captive. We have a few guesses as to what brings him back to the canvas.

Is Ethan Baby Phoebe’s Dad?

Could it be that Ethan is Baby Phoebe’s dad? Maybe, but there’s another angle that could also be in play: the mystery surrounding Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey). Nathan’s twin is impersonating him and it’s possible Cassius and Ethan have a connection.

Dean talked to TV Insider about Ethan’s return: “He’s definitely changed a little bit. We know that some other mysterious people have been popping up in town. As we start to learn a little bit more about them, maybe we’ll reveal the real reason why he is back, as opposed to just, ‘Oh, I miss my friends and family.’”

Coincidently, when Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) debuted he had Ethan’s half-brother, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) in his clutches, and was stringing Holly along.

Cassius is involved with Lulu and we know Ethan won’t stand for any shenanigans from the man she loves—is he here to warn her, and maybe take on the bad guys at the same time?
