GH Spoilers: Drew’s Redemption Begins, Changed Man After Miraculous Stroke Recovery?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) redemption may finally begin. Will Drew be a changed man after his miraculous stroke recovery?

Thanks to Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) syringe, Drew faced a severe stroke. As a result, Drew’s medical team doesn’t have high hopes when it comes to him making a full recovery.

However, plenty of other characters have bounced back from far worse! There’s definitely the potential for Drew to fight his way back to normal after extensive therapy, so that’s important to keep in mind.

Drew won’t be able to move or speak properly for quite some time, so that’ll give Willow more opportunities to torment him while pretending she’s a loving spouse. Nevertheless, Drew may recover enough to expose the truth about Willow eventually.

Until then, Drew may use this time to think about the kind of person he wants to be. Since Drew may spend months recovering, that could help him reevaluate his priorities and see that his actions led him down a terrible path.

Drew might determine that nothing matters more than being a good dad to Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) and perhaps trying to right some of his past wrongs.

Could GH writers use this stroke to hit the reset button on Drew and have him come out of all this as a changed man?

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) previously hinted that it was a possibility, but Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) doubted it. Since Drew didn’t change when he got shot, Kai was skeptical of this stroke changing much either.

Even so, Drew’s stroke is arguably different since it’ll require a much longer recovery time. Drew’s going to be stuck with his own thoughts for a while and may start to see the error of his ways.

Many fans miss the old version of Drew that was a hero instead of a villain. The show could begin the journey back to a kinder Drew who actually cared about more than just himself.
