General Hospital spoilers and updates suggest that Delilah (Lily Cardone) may have offered Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) the most incredible gift imaginable.
Even though she won’t be there to witness it, Brook Lynn and Chase came to Delilah’s aid, indicating their deep connection to her storyline.
It’s Easy To See That Delilah’s Baby Will Be The One Who Brook Lynn And Chase Adopt
The reason for this connection is clear now that Chase and Brook Lynn are officially prepared to adopt a child. Delilah was seven months along in her pregnancy but was facing an emergency C-section due to medical complications.
With Delilah experiencing internal bleeding, the situation became quite critical; despite Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) doing everything she could to save both Delilah and her baby in the March 4 episode, it was ultimately too late for Delilah.
Tragically, she met a sorrowful end, leaving behind a premature infant. While there’s no confirmation regarding the baby’s biological father, it’s possible he could be a nefarious character unfit to raise this child.
Delilah Was Frightened, And Injured, And The Baby’s Father May Be Responsible
It’s evident that Delilah was frightened and was encountering some difficulties, which could be linked to the baby’s father.
There’s a chance he assaulted her and was startled, leaving her on the ground and taking her ID from the purse that Detective Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) discovered.
Regardless of the situation, it appears that Chase and Brook Lynn are likely to adopt Delilah’s baby in the end.
It’s reasonable to think that Delilah might have a daughter since Brook Lynn and Chase could name her “Lila” for a couple of significant reasons. The first would clearly be a way to pay tribute to Delilah’s memory, as “Lila” can be a shortened form of that name.
Brook Lynn And Chase May Choose To Name The Baby “Lila” To Honor Both Her Birth Mother And Brook Lynn’s Great Grandmother
The second reason would be to name the child after Brook Lynn’s great-grandmother, Lila Quartermaine (Anna Lee).
Although Lila was also intended to be the name of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) stillborn daughter, the name can still be utilized now as another homage to Lila Q as well as Delilah.
The adoption journey for Chase and Brook Lynn may be lengthy and complex, but it certainly feels like the show is aiming to provide them with a brand-new daughter to nurture!
How do you feel about this unexpected Delilah twist? Are you optimistic that this marks the start of Brook Lynn and Chase’s joyful family?
