General Hospital spoilers report Brick (Stephen A. Smith) made his way back to Port Charles last week, and he had some pretty significant meetings while there that are likely to lead him back to Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) family sooner than later.
It threw fans for a loop when Brick was back on the scene, and at first, it seemed like he may have just been there to flirt with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and kick up some dust for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).
But digging a bit deeper, Brick made some sly observations and casual comments that lead me to believe he might become a lynchpin in figuring out what Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) are up to.
My Old Friend, Brennan
It was a bit of a shock that Brick just happened upon Carly and let it slip that he knew Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) from way back in the day in Los Angeles.
Brennan’s past just keeps filtering into the light these days. We’re finding out he doesn’t have quite as much power as he has let on, or as much as he would like to have.
WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) seems to be a bit of a thorn in his side. Will Brick’s sudden appearance in town only add a layered effect to that discomfort?
Carly Can’t Keep a Secret
Carly clearly has every intention of keeping her plan to ruin Jack under wraps. While conspiring with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), she has been keen on keeping her houseguest under the radar, for obvious reasons.
Many fans thought she would have opened up to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) by now about what she’s up to, but she probably doesn’t want to risk him trying to stop her especially since she’s housing a fugitive from justice.
Will she be able to keep it under wraps from Brick, or might she open up to him in a way she thinks she can’t to Jason right now especially since he is conflicted over Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud)?
Joss Worries Brick
The same way that Brick was scanning Carly’s every move with Brennan, he was intentional about paying attention to Joss’ strange behavior.
It’s not typical for her to beckon him or ask for favors and information, and a request about Spoon Island was the last thing he expected.
Since Brick knows that Cullum has been linked to the firebombing at Sonny’s penthouse and the fire at Charlie’s bar, will he connect the dots of this WSB Director back to Joss, potentially blowing her cover in the process?
Could he come to realize that Joss and Carly will be stronger knowing what each other are up to and be the bridge that reunites them with transparency?
