GH Spoilers: Anna Devane’s Return Date, When Is Finola Hughes Back

Anna Devane has been missing from General Hospital for months now.  Finola Hughes’ character has been in a mental health facility in Europe for quite a while.

But, the soap has confirmed that Anna’s coming home.  Keep reading for all the details, here’s what’s coming up this month on General Hospital.

Emma Revisits Anna Crisis

A few months ago Emma Scorpio-Drake visited her grandmother Anna Devane abroad at the psychiatric hospital.  Emma opted to leave Anna in the hospital and returned home without her.

The scenes on General Hospital were heartbreaking to watch, Anna’s granddaughter couldn’t even understand her and she appeared to be having some sort of manic episode.

At the time Emma made the gut-wrenching decision to leave Anna Devane in the hospital, where she was getting the care from doctors that she desperately needed.

Finola Hughes Back

In April news broke that Finola Hughes was back on the General Hospital set and filming new scenes.  The actress took a lengthy vacation, and the writers used Anna’s hospitalization to explain her absence.

Hughes officially returned to work in mid-April.  The actress’ co-stars confirmed on social media that she was back to work.

The ABC soap opera films 3-4 weeks in advance.  If Finola returned to work three weeks ago, then that means her new episodes should be airing any day now.

This week on General Hospital, spoilers say that Emma Scorpio-Drake will open up to Gio about her grandmother.  The hospital will also call Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) and update her on Anna’s mental health.

All clues on the daytime show are pointing to Emma heading to Europe to visit Anna Devane next week.

It’s unclear if Anna has gotten any better, but her granddaughter is ready to bring her home.  Are you excited to see Hughes back on the soap this month?
