GH Spoilers: Alexis Blackmails Willow Into Walking Away from Drew’s Congressional Seat?

General Hospital Spoilers: Will Alexis Blackmail Willow Into Walking Away from Drew's Congressional Seat?General Hospital spoilers report Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) are going after the same brass ring.

They just don’t know it yet. When Alexis stopped by to bear witness to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) dropping off Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) for their first trip back to their mothers in months, she got an uncomfortable inside look at what Willow has been up to.

Of course, she’s not connecting the dots yet as to what Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was trying to tell her, but her interest may be piqued enough to try to figure it out soon once she learns she’s got competition for that congressional seat.

Nina Brings It Home

Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) might not have had any idea how he was going to persuade a woman he barely knows to take up Drew’s seat in Washington, DC, but he was giving it his best shot. He wasn’t about to leave that opportunity on the table.

After all, if he can leverage Drew’s wife, he can maintain the control he was looking for by propping up Drew in the first place.

He’s going to need that kind of power over the state, not just relying solely on Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) or his blackmail of Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to pull all the strings he needs.

So when Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) got stars in her eyes over the very idea of her daughter being a sitting Congresswoman, we knew it was nearly a done deal.

She was going to convince Willow this was a good idea, and it was easy to do since Willow seems to lack any original thoughts of her own.

Alexis Faced Similar Circumstances

Alexis might not have had a crime boss orchestrated and manipulated her feelings behind the scenes, but Laura made a pretty compelling offer.

Still, it caught Alexis off guard. She may still feel like she’s just catching her breath and stabilizing working with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) after being reinstated to practice law a couple years ago.

This kind of shift, which would take her to the nation’s capital when she’s trying to be present for her grandchildren after Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) death, would cause some significant change in her life.

But isn’t she still better suited for them than Willow, who would have to leave to be in DC when she just got her kids back 40 percent of the time?

Drew Holds the Keys to Alexis’ Success

On one hand, Drew might hope that Willow does take his seat in Congress, because then she wouldn’t be lording over him at home most of the time and that would mean someone else would have to.

This would give him ample opportunity to try to communicate what is going on. On the other hand, Alexis could use Willow’s guilty status as Drew’s shooter against her to steal this opportunity, but Willow will know Alexis would be burying herself if she outs her as the shooter — revealing to all that she knew.

Instead, Alexis may try to suss out what is going on with Drew as a means of making sure Willow can’t take his seat because she wants it.

That might put Alexis at cross purposes with Drew. What do you foresee happening? Share your thoughts with us, and keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
