General Hospital spoilers report Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) is showing more signs this week that he’s the same old loveable Nathan we used to know. Before he was tragically shot and “killed” by his father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), he was definitely the runner up to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) when it came to GH heartthrobs who kept our world spinning. Since his return, we’ve noticed a few things off with this character that just don’t match up.
This week, one move in the wrong direction left Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) feeling less than confident about her son’s well-being. Is she onto something, and will she chase that feeling until she finds the truth?
General Hospital Spoilers — Liesl Loses It
We were all on the edges of our seats when Nathan clapped back at Liesl at the Metro Court on Friday, insisting that he had every right to follow his heart and that she should stand down and keep her opinions to herself.
For once, he sounded more like his sister, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), than himself. Nathan never spoke out of turn toward his mother, even if he found her hard to deal with at times. He never let her have it like that.
Liesl’s response to his grown-up tempter tantrum was appropriate, but Britt isn’t seeing it that way.
GH Spoilers Gossip Britt’s Behaving Badly
When Liesl brought news to Britt that Nathan had just chastised her, it didn’t seem to phase Britt one bit. However, that’s kind of to be expected. Britt and Liesl have had some knock down drag out fights over the years.
This daughter has never held back on telling her mom the truth — except when it involved why she faked her death. Britt might file this complaint away under her baby brother finally having a spine.
When Liesl shared that Nathan wasn’t interested in chasing after Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), Britt was more than okay with that too.
Could that be because she knows all isn’t right with Nathan, or that he’s not really Nathan? Is that why she’s been so distant from him?
If so, why wasn’t she caught off guard by him showing up at her office this week to inform her of Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) suspicions about Faison being alive? Maybe that’s because while Nathan isn’t Nathan and Britt knows it, Nathan does not?
General Hospital Spoilers — Is Nathan Just as Clueless?
Of course, we keep entertaining the idea that Nathan is really this nefarious actor behind that face. He’s Peter August (Wes Ramsey). He’s Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).
He’s Cesar Faison himself. Somehow, some way, the fans suspect Nathan isn’t Nathan but an imposter in disguise. That may be true, but that doesn’t mean he knows it.
Is this some sideways tech that allowed for a troublemaker like Peter to transform into a clone of Nathan, or are we dealing with people like Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) having the power to program Nathan’s body to pretend it’s still Nathan, postmortem? Morbid?
Maybe, but I leave room for it to be true. A few glitches would be expected. What do you think? Sound off in the comments, and keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers every day.
