GH News: Steve Burton Wants Fans To Stop Doing This

General Hospital star Steve Burton, who is best known for his role as Jason Morgan on the hit ABC soap, has made it clear that he wants his fans to stop doing this.

Steve took to his Instagram account to write: “So we have to stop beating ourselves up. Don’t beat yourself up.”

“I know it’s easier said than done, but man, this is probably gonna resonate with a lot of people because I coach a lot of people, and this is something I struggled with myself for a long time, was beating myself up.”

The actor continued, “If I had a falter or a misstep, I would beat myself up, and then you would feel guilty about it and then you wouldn’t do anything positive for yourself.”

“But you have to show yourself some grace. You have to show yourself some kindness. You have to forgive yourself just like you would forgive others.”

As many of our readers are aware of, Steve announced earlier this year that he was taking a break from General Hospital in order to focus on his personal life. And while he hasn’t said the reason why he wanted to take a break from his job, a lot of people have been wondering if it had anything to do with his side gig.

The actor is also a life and fitness coach. More often than not, Steve likes to recruit his social media followers in his program, which is all about maintaining a good, healthy and positive lifestyle, just like he does.

But at the same time, a lot of people can’t help but wonder if Steve can afford to leave General Hospital and be a life coach full-time. After all, Jason Morgan is a legacy character and that’s a role that you just can’t walk away from.
