GH Maxie Jones Being Recast? Here’s What We Know

General Hospital spoilers indicate Kirsten Storms recently set the record straight regarding her status on the ABC soap.

The actress who plays Maxie Jones updated her fans via an Instagram post, letting them know she won’t be returning to the role anytime soon.

Storms has had a lot of personal issues to navigate through, and her main focus right now is her daughter, Harper Rose Barash. With that said, where does that leave Maxie’s storyline and future on the canvas? Will she be recast? Here’s what we know.

A Maxie Jones Recast May Be Imminent

General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Cassius Faison’s (Ryan Paevey) true identity will be revealed to everyone, very soon.

After all, he’s not really Nathan West (Ryan Paevey); rather, he’s his twin brother, parading around as the late cop.

As Nathan played such a pivotal role in Maxie’s life, and they share a son, James West (Gary James Fuller), it only seems right that Maxie learns the truth and reacts to it.

Plus, there’s also the element that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) knew that Cassius wasn’t Nathan and didn’t let Maxie know.

Sure, Britt tried to warn Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) against allowing James to see his dad so soon, but even though Britt’s hands were tied, Maxie is sure to lash out at her, as well.

Maxie Jones Recast Options

General Hospital spoilers imply that actresses Jen Lilley, Molly Burnett, and Nicole Paggi have all stepped into the Maxie Jones role before, so the ABC soap has plenty of options to go with, if they decide to go that route.

Not to mention other actresses who may have not played Maxie, but would be perfect for the role.

Then again, it’s also not odd to think that Maxie may have some “off-screen” conversations with both Cassius and Britt that are talked about on the canvas, but not seen, in light of Storms’ absence.
