General Hospital Star Maurice Benard Frustrated This Project Isn’t Going Anywhere
There’s heavy speculation by General Hospital fans on social media that suggests Maurice, who is best known for his role as Sonny Corinthos on the hit ABC soap, is frustrated that his YouTube series, State of Mind, hasn’t been picked up for syndication just yet.
Even though it’s been several years since he’s had the show up and running on social media, the only guests that he’s managed to get on are his General Hospital co-stars and other daytime television actors.
Maurice has been hoping to get some A-list names on his show to talk about mental health, but that just hasn’t happened yet.
Not only that, but a lot of people believe that Maurice is doing everything he can to be a talk show host, but just hasn’t gotten the offers he was hoping to get by now.
If that weren’t enough, Maurice recently reached out to Joe Rogan in the hopes that he can get Joe or even Dana White to appear on his YouTube mental health series, State of Mind. Talk about some big names there, right?
General Hospital News: What’s Next For Maurice Benard?
The actor recently reached out to both men on social media and even wrote, “Let’s have an honest and open discussion on mental health on your show or my show, State of mind. It’s all for the betterment of mental health. I think it would help a lot of people.”
As of press time, Maurice hasn’t gotten a response from either one of the men, but at this point no one knows if he will ever receive one.
So far Maurice himself has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
