‘GH’ Cameron Mathison Might Come Back As A Completely New Character

Sooner or later, the gig is going to be up. General Hospital spoilers say that a lot of fans have a feeling that actor Cameron Mathison, who is best known for his role as Drew Quartermaine on the hit ABC soap, might come back as a new character.

Now, that’s not to say that it’s going to happen anytime soon, but seeing how Drew has caused so many problems in this fictional town of Port Charles, there’s no way that his character is even remotely redeemable at this point.

That’s why it’s only a matter of time before the writers of General Hospital hammer in the final nail in this character’s coffin and call it a day.

But for someone as talented as Cameron Mathison, there’s no way that the show is going to want to let go of him completely.

That’s why there are so many people who think that Cameron might come back on the show but as a completely different person. That would certainly be exciting, right?

Of course, General Hospital fans certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

What’s Next For Cameron Mathison?

Some even commented with, “I think he should be redeemed but come back more as an anti-hero.

Someone who would fight for good causes, but do whatever it takes to accomplish it…but not settling personal scores or seeking vengeance (well, at least AFTER he gets his revenge on Willow).”

Another critic of the show wrote, “I have been extremely vocal about how unpleasant it has been for the last two years of watching Drew try to be a super villain. It just doesn’t work.

But I have been watching old episodes of GH when Cameron first came on as Drew, and he wasn’t terrible back then. He will never be Billy Miller, though, and I think that is part of the problem.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Cameron Mattison is entertaining and does bring something interesting to the canvas .I feel like he possesses a star-like quality. But keep in mind, I am a little bias because I grew up watching and loving him on All My Children as Ryan Lavery.”

Then again, General Hospital fans will certainly have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next!
