General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that it’s been about a year since Chad Duell exited the role of Michael Corinthos (January 21, 2025, to be exact).
While Duell has been updating fans on his life since he left the ABC soap opera, he recently decided to take a break from social media. More information on this story is below.
Chad Duell’s Instagram Update
When Duell exited the role, there was hope he might return; however, in May 2025, Michael returned at the Nurse’s Ball with a brand-new face, as The Young and the Restless Alum Rory Gibson (ex-Noah Newman) appeared on canvas.
To be honest, while fans miss Duell, Gibson has nailed the role and turned it into something of his own.
While Duell was pretty good at posting on social media, as of September 2025, he took a break. With that said, he recently posted on Instagram. It was a photo of him in a white tank and a black cowboy hat in the middle of a field.
His caption read: “Been off the socials for a while.. always good to do a bit of a break from all the noise.”
He went on to say, “Hope everyone had a good holiday season.. Happy New Year.. next ones gonna be a good one.”
The Comment Section Was On Fire
GH fans and followers rushed to the comment section, happy to hear from Duell and let it be known. Many were thankful for an update, and some revealed how much they miss him on General Hospital.
With that said, past GH castmates hit the “like” button on the post, including Duell’s former onscreen father, Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), uncle, Steve Burton (Jason Morgan), cousin, Asher Antonyzyn (Danny Morgan), Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase), as well as Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara), and Ingo Rademacher (ex-Jasper Jax).
