Ex-Royal Butler Slams Prince Harry And Meghan For Acting Like “Celebrity Royals”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s fallout with the Royal Family apparently still puts them in the line of criticisms, six years after they left the Royal Family and roughly two years after they pressed pause on criticizing said Royal Family.

This time around, they’ve been lambasted by a former Royal butler, because, apparently, they try too hard to become celebrity royals.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have moved stateside to pursue a private and quiet life, but from time to time, they would embark on these little tours that have been branded “faux royal tours.”

This time around, they’re heading to Australia, which, if you can recall, they toured in 2018 as part of their earlier royal engagements. However, this time around, they’re returning for leisure, charity and business.

The approach to this tour is markedly different from their previous ones, which saw them visit countries like Colombia and Nigeria.

During the aforementioned tours, Harry and Meghan highlighted charity at the forefront of their visits, treating it like another average Royal tour. But this time around, they intend to sprinkle some business into the mix.

Already, we’re hearing reports that apart from the $3000-plus girls retreat, Meghan will soon be trademarking As Ever in the region.

Weighing in on the tour, King Charles and Queen Camilla’s former butler said, “I imagine this tour would be similar to ones they’ve done since quitting the Royal Family, a kind of celebrity royal tour.

This means it looks very similar to a royal tour in all aspects – the same kind of engagements, the same meetings and photo ops – but it’s not arranged through the governments.”

“I think they are trying to be ‘celebrity royals,’ he opined, adding, “They want the celebrity lifestyle and the freedom that brings, but I think Harry misses his old lifestyle of regular engagements, shaking hands and meeting people.”

Australia must be one of those places that hold a special place in the Sussex couple’s hearts, due to Meghan being pregnant with Archie during the first tour of the country.
