DOOL Spoilers: Xander’s Enraging Betrayal, Gwen & Philip’s Hot Romp Is Next?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers hint that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) has latched onto Gwen von Leuschner (Emily O’Brien) as a way to fulfill his needs and move on from Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), but how long will this last?

Part of Xander will always love Sarah, but he’s done trying to be good enough to get her back. Xander feels like he’ll never be able to meet Sarah’s standards anyway, so he’s choosing to have fun with Gwen and live in the moment.

Of course, there’s the potential for things to deepen between Gwen and Xander eventually. Xander and Gwen have a romantic history on Days, so this attempt at doing something casual could develop into something more serious.

Even if Gwen and Xander manage to stay in casual territory, he may get jealous if she hits the sheets with someone else. That’s especially true if that someone turns out to be Xander’s own brother!

In Days’ March 17 episode, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) caught Gwen by surprise in the town square and caused her to spill her drink. Gwen demanded that Philip get her another one and tried to get rid of him when he overstayed his welcome at her table.

The whole interaction was both heated and humorous, so it felt like the DOOL perfect setup for Philip and Gwen to ultimately sizzle together.

There must be a reason why Days writers are having Gwen and Philip interact like this. The show may be building an enemies-to-lovers angle, so that’s something to keep in mind as this storyline moves along.

It’s easy to imagine Philip leaning on Gwen after his own relationship with Gabi falls apart. Gabi and Philip are doomed due to the secrets she’s keeping about helping Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) sink the Titan-DiMera merger.

Gwen might get drunk with Philip and lean on him too if she feels like Xander will never truly get over Sarah. One thing could lead to another before Philip and Gwen find themselves in bed together.

If that’s the case, Xander may have an infuriating discovery headed his way. You can bet Xander will blow his top if Philip and Gwen form a passionate connection at some point.
