‘DOOL’ Spoilers Weekly Update: JJ Reconnects, Life & Death, Lani’s Tragic Reminder

Days of Our Lives spoilers are in for the week of August 17, 2026. We can expect JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) to reconnect. Chanel Dupree DiMera’s (Raven Bowens) labor turns dangerous.

JJ Deveraux’s Reconnection

Let’s start off with JJ and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). The half-siblings will reconnect.

Even though Gwen doesn’t get along with most of the family, JJ did extend an olive branch. It was a while ago, but I wonder what brings them to talk now.

Does this have to do with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte)? Or could this be about something else?

Aaron Greene’s Romance

Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) seems to have had a crush on Ari Horton (Vico Escorcia) for a while. Ari always just looked at him as a friend and nothing more. However, that seems to be changing as the teenagers grow up.

While Chanel is delivering her baby, Aaron and Ari will babysit. Could that lead to Ari seeing her friend in a totally different way? 

Life & Death

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of August 17 reveal that fans will see the cycle of life. That sounds like Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) dies.

While Chanel does have a dangerous delivery, I can’t see the writers having her lose yet another child. At the same time, the spoiler about the cycle of life implies that Lexie dies while Chanel’s baby lives. 

It is also stated that Chanel’s dangerous delivery will be a sad reminder for Lani and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey). As fans recall, Lani lost a child before having the twins.

What Else to Expect

As for the rest of the week, Foster (Miles Anderson) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes)  go on a date. However, it takes a surprising turn.

Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) receives an offer on the estate. However, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) is still going to try to save the day!

Will Philip be able to convince Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), though? Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) finds herself roped into the chessboard mystery. 

Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) leans on Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd). Meanwhile, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) supports Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins).

Finally, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) interrogates EJ, but will the villain finally admit the entire truth?
