‘DOOL’ Greg Rikaart Pays Homage To Mean Girls

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Leo Stark has been a busy bee in the land of Salem (and Alamainia for that matter!)

The character is navigating feelings between Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) and his ex, Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte), while also trying to prove the latter’s innocence.

With that said, Greg Rikaart also has a jam-packed schedule, working on Days and also as the co-host of Soapy, a podcast that he hosts with a friend, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Rebecca Budig (Dr. Taylor Hayes), where the two interview daytime drama stars. Despite this, Rikaart still took the time to pay homage to a comedy classic, Mean Girls.

The 2004 movie, Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan, Tina Fey, and Rachel McAdams, is about a naïve home-schooled teenager, Cady Heron (Lohan), who moves from Africa and attends an American high school for the first time.

Cady becomes friends with some outcasts and the three plot a revenge scheme against the leader of the “popular” clique, Regina George.

There are a ton of famous one-liners from the movie, and many of them have become trends on social media. One well-known scene is when the character, Karen, tries to get out of plans with Regina by fake coughing over the phone and stating she’s sick.

Often on TikTok, someone will be in one outfit, lip syncing to Karen stating she’s sick, and then transition to another more glamorous look.

Enter: Leo Stark

As fans know, Leo donned a pretty interesting “widow” getup during the Tuesday, March 10 episode.

Leo was at Stefan and Jake DiMera’s (both played by Brandon Barash) grave sites to alert Dimitria about Vivian Alamain’s (Louis Sorel) arrival, who was looking for information at the woman’s house to clear his name.

The Days of Our Lives Tik Tok handle uploaded a hilarious video of Rikaart, using the Mean Girls sound bite, as the actor laid on a couch at the beginning of the video in normal clothes, where Karen says she’s sick, only to transition to Leo in his widow’s outfit, on the bench at the cemetery, and then walking away from the graves and closer to the camera.

The caption of the video read, “On Wednesdays we wear pink. Then we switched to grave digger chic. #daysofourlives #days #DOOL #GregRikaart”
