Bringing Up Bates Cheating Scandal: Travis Begs For Forgiveness After Wife Katie’s Miscarriage

The Bringing Up Bates tea is piping hot this week.  Gil and Kelly’s daughter Katie Bates announced on social media last week that she was pregnant, but had lost her baby. 

Then two days later Katie’s husband Travis Clarke took to social media to beg for his wife’s forgiveness.  This is all getting very Duggarish.  Keep reading for all the details!

Katie Bates married her husband Travis Clarke in 2021, the couple already have two children together. 

This weekend Katie took to Instagram and revealed that she was pregnant with their third, but sadly had a miscarriage and lost the baby.  The Bringing Up Bates star sobbed from a hospital bed in a heart-wrenching video “I just lost my baby.”

Travis Clarke Publicly Apologizes For Cheating On Pregnant Wife

Less than a day later Travis Clarke took to Instagram, but it wasn’t to post a tribute for the baby they lost. 

Instead Katie’s husband confessed that he had been cheating on his wife and begged for forgiveness.  Gil and Kelly are probably not happy campers right now.

Clarke wrote in a LENGTHY post, “There is no excuse for what I did. This was my failure and my responsibility alone. I know that words don’t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of the hurt I’ve brought into her life, but I am truly sorry I understand that an apology doesn’t repair what I broke, and forgiveness is not something I deserve or can ask for.  I am taking responsibility by getting help and doing the work to change and become a more honest and accountable man, regardless of outcome.”

“I ask for privacy and grace for Katie as she processes this in her own time,” is how he chose to end the post.  And we have SO many questions.  For starters, why is Katie processing this NOW?  Did she just find out too?  Worst case scenario, did she have a miscarriage after she found out?

WHO makes their wife process an affair and a miscarriage in one weekend?  It’s possible that Travis had no choice but to go public because he was being outted.  Maybe the person he was cheating with had no idea Travis Clarke was married until Katie Bates’ miscarriage post went viral.
