Bridgerton Season 5 Premiere: When Is Netflix Getting New Episodes

Netflix streamers have been counting down the days until Bridgerton Season 5 premieres on the App.

The soapy period drama was already renewed for a 5th and 6th season months ago.  Now, we know when we can expect the new episodes to drop.  Keep reading for all the details!

Bridgerton Season 5 Premiere Date

Can you believe it has been over five years since Bridgerton made its Netflix debut?  Season 1 dropped back in 2020, and then fans had to wait over two years for a second season.

Bridgerton Seasons 3 and 4 were released in four episode blocks over the course of the past two years.  But, we won’t have to wait that long Season 5!

This week TPTB at Netflix held their upfronts and dished on upcoming projects they have lined up at the streaming giant.

The app bosses confirmed that Bridgerton Season 5 will debut in 2027 (almost a year sooner than previous seasons).

Bridgerton – The Florence Episodes

Every season of Bridgerton over the years have focused on a different character, the next episodes will follow the story of fan fave Francesca.

The official synopsis from Netflix teases,“The fifth season of Bridgerton spotlights introverted middle daughter Francesca (Hannah Dodd). Two years after losing her beloved husband John, Fran decides to reenter the marriage mart for practical reasons.

But when John’s cousin Michaela (Masali Baduza) returns to London to tend to the Kilmartin estate, Fran’s complicated feelings will have her questioning whether to stick to her pragmatic intentions or pursue her inner passions.”

When Francesca Bridgerton was first introduced on the series, the character was played by Ruby Stokes.  Hannah Dodd took over the role in Season 3 and will be front and center when the show returns in 2027.
