Billy Played Chad DiMera Over A Decade

Soap fans primarily recognize Flynn as Chad DiMera from Days of Our Lives; he became part of the show in 2014, taking over the role from Casey Deidrick. However, after nearly ten years on the soap, it was revealed in March that Flynn would be departing from the series.

While audiences will bid farewell to Chad, or at least to Flynn’s portrayal of him, they will soon see the actor on another soap: The Young and the Restless.

Nevertheless, fans are uncertain about when Flynn will make his debut in Genoa City; in fact, much about Flynn’s role on the show, including the nature of his character, remains a mystery. Currently, fans are speculating about what this new addition will contribute to the soap.

No Debut Date Announced Yet

The exact release date was not revealed when the announcement of Flynn’s casting was made, other than we know he began filming in March.

Since then, fans have been speculating about when he will actually make his appearance; the tape to air date is usually around six weeks, although sometimes longer.

According to Parade, the soap may be holding off Flynn’s debut for the May sweeps-which are currently happening. This is particularly interesting since the announcement occurred right after February sweeps had started.

Judging by the information shared, the publication indicated that Flynn is likely to show up towards the end of this period.

Fans Speculate Who Billy Will Play On The Show

For the time being, many fans suspect the character may turn out to be, or at least have some connection to, the elusive Aristotle Dumas.

Meanwhile, Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) return, and her connection to Dumas, could suggests the soap will soon reveal Dumas’ identity. If this theory proves to be true, the soap might be planning to have Flynn’s debut be a big surprise to viewers.

Indeed, the soap might prefer Flynn’s arrival to be unexpected for several reasons. After all, fans have various theories about Dumas’s identity, including the possibility that he could actually be a woman.

Fans Can See Flynn Doing Double Duty On Two Soaps Until Early 2026

Flynn completed his run on Days of Our Lives this past winter; however, fans can expect to see him as Chad until early 2026.

If he appears in Genoa City soon, soap fans will witness Flynn portraying two different characters simultaneously; in March, Flynn discussed his time on DOOL when his departure was announced.

In an interview with TV Insider, he expressed, “I am thankful for my years at DAYS; it transformed my life in wonderful ways.
