Y&R Spoilers: Nick’s Shocking Frame-Up – Who’s The Real Killer Making Him Look Guilty?

Cane Thinks The Killer Was Aiming For Him And Got Damian Instead

Given that the killer hurled the dagger from afar, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) suspects he might have been the intended victim. According to Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) evaluation in the episode aired on July 15, he appears to agree with Cane’s hypothesis.

Both Cane and Chance suspect Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) wasn’t supposed to consume the drug-laced bourbon from Cane’s personal collection – nor was he meant to receive a dagger in his back.

Who Would Want Damian Dead?

Carter (Vincent Stalba) seems to be the type who would want to erase Damian from existence and discreetly assist his boss – at least in his own view.

It’s possible that Carter believed he needed to remove Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) new boyfriend to give Cane the best shot at winning her back.

This could be seen as an extreme display of loyalty from Carter. Naturally, the party attendees have no trust in Cane whatsoever, leading to numerous accusations directed at him.

Cane will have to defend himself against some serious allegations since he was the last person seen with Damian before his death.

Carter Frames Nick?

Carter will be keen to avoid appearing guilty if he truly is the murderer, yet he also wouldn’t want Cane to appear guilty, particularly in front of Lily. This could lead Carter to consider framing someone else, and Nick comes to mind.

To begin with, Nick has previously confronted Cane with serious warnings about safeguarding his family.

Perhaps Carter thinks he could twist the narrative to imply that Nick was attempting to protect the Newmans and their empire from Cane. Then he could say that he ended up missing his actual target and accidentally hitting Damian.

Carter Saw Nick Comforting Lily

t’s important to mention that after Lily witnessed Damian’s lifeless body in the episode from July 15, Nick was there to embrace her and provide support.

Carter observed this closely, which might lead him to think Nick could pose a romantic threat to Cane as well-regardless of the situation, Nick is close to uncovering a significant secret.

What if the missing dagger is found in Nick’s private train car; is it possible that the missing bourbon bottle and glasses could also be there?
