The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is hiding a secret. But what could it be?
Fans could tell from the get-go early this week that something major had happened while Mariah was away on business. Her interaction with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) was odd to say the least, and Mariah was clearly shaken.
Still, Mariah’s trauma dump to her mom, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) during the Friday, May 2 episode has fans further freaked out, but what exactly did Mariah do while on her business trip?
What Kind Of Secret Is She Hiding?
Mariah and Sharon met up at Crimson for a coffee and a catch-up on the May 2 episode. After all, Sharon had been out of Genoa City with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), visiting Noah Newman (Roby Gibson) in Europe.
Sharon’s trip was fantastic; however, she learned quickly that her daughter, Mariah, had had a terrible business trip herself.
She talked about being alone in her hotel room, reflecting on her past and growing up with a mentally unstable father figure like Ian Ward (Ray Wise).
Mariah explained that she never fully digested the events around Ian’s return and destruction, so while she was away alone, the pain all came gushing down.
Mariah had a little too much to drink that night, but that was all she would divulge to Sharon. One thing is for sure – she does not want Tessa knowing what she did, but what exactly did Mariah do that was so awful?
Is Cheating Too Obvious?
Of course, if Mariah cheated on Tessa with someone she knew or a random person she would feel awfully guilty – but so guilty she doesn’t even want to tell her mom?
Not to say that cheating is no big deal, but if Mariah spent a night with someone other than her wife while away on business, she wouldn’t exactly be the first person to do so within Genoa City – and it’s very unlikely that Sharon of all people would judge.
Could Mariah have hurt someone, or possibly crossed the line of murder? This may explain why she doesn’t want to repeat the events that unravel during her trip away.
Still, is Mariah capable of murder? Depending on the circumstances (if it was self-defense), despite Mariah’s guilt it may have been warranted.
