Y&R Spoilers: Cane’s Brutal Shutdown Of Phyllis Ignites Dangerous Power War

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) shut down Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) belief that they were partners.

She believed that they were working together and were equals. He made it crystal clear that they aren’t equals; she is nothing but an employee, “A means to an end.”

Phyllis was not pleased to hear that little tidbit. She couldn’t believe that Cane would demean her contribution in that manner. She thought they would work side by side to take Genoa City by storm.

The issue is that Cane has made a secret deal with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). When Phyllis learns of this deal, she might flip from working with Cane to plotting against him.

Cane & Victor’s Deal

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor made Cane an offer he couldn’t refuse. Instead of going after Chancellor Industries, he should go after Jabot instead.

Not only did Victor suggest that Cane go after Jabot, but he also offered to help him with his resources to make it happen.

This deal was too good to pass up. Cane knew a Jabot takeover was iffy, but with Victor’s help, it would be much easier. Not only that, Victor will help finance the deal, which would be a huge help.

All this is all good and well, but Phyllis doesn’t know anything about it. She believes they are still going after Chancellor Industries. She has no clue his primary focus has changed from Chancellor to Jabot.

With her connection to the Abbotts, she might feel bad about going after Jabot. She probably would do it anyway, but her guilt would creep in.

The Twin & Lily Issue

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) told Cane that he must end this corporate war. If he doesn’t, he could lose the twins forever. It’s not something he is willing to gamble. He loves his children and longs for them to accept him again.

Then there’s the Lily issue. He returned to Genoa City to win her back. If he continues to plot against the corporations, he could lose any chance he has with her.

She made it clear to him, if he stopped the corporate wars, she would make sure the twins were good with him and she would talk to him. If not, he will be cut off from the whole family.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Cane’s decision will rattle Phyllis, forcing her to launch an all-out war against the billionaire.
